The Johann Strauss Orchestra Frankfurt was founded in 1986 by Günther Gräf. Its nucleus of 34 musicians includes members of the RSO Frankfurt as well as musicians from the orchestras of the opera houses in Frankfurt/Main, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden. The diversified experience of its members allows the Johann Strauss Orchestra Frankfurt to perform a wide variety of concert programs; highlights were certainly a Spain tour (1992), the live television concert with Udo Jürgens (1998) and two concert tours to Seoul/Korea (2006 and 2007). |
